what's new?

Okay - so no pictures today, but wanted to let everyone know what has been going on. It has been a pretty busy month for us with lots of fun stuff going on. I have had issues the last few months with anxiety and finally went to the doctor for some help - thank heavens for lexapro!!! Drugs can be good. My parents sold their house this winter and March was the month for moving. We went down to help clear out 40 years of marriage and about 18 years in the house. Talk about a lot of stuff. I am going to start now to downsize instead of waiting until I'm 60 (oops, sorry mom!) Our good friends across the street that have a daughter name Aleah that Malia loves to play with (i love saying their names together) was also moving and we had their kids over quite a bit. We have had lots of blessings and many prayers going on here. My good friend had a baby that had some serious eye problems and possibly including blindness. We are very relieved to hear all the good things and miracles they are witnessing. It is never a good thing to have your baby in the hospital. Our good friend and neighbor is still waiting for a liver transplant (going on 8 months). We have a cousin who was blessed to adopt a baby after 3 years on the waiting list, and an aunt and uncle who just got approved and are waiting for children to bless their home. We also have decided to submit our papers to adopt. So stay tuned!

We are preparing for a brief trip to Parowan, UT followed by a week (for just me and malia) to Phoenix, AZ. Hopefully we will be able to stop and see my sister's new house as well on our way. My "wonderful" sister-in-law Hiedi had to tell Malia about 3 weeks ago we were coming and so for the last 3 weeks about 20 times a day all we talk about is going to Arizona. Mommy it's warm. Mommy we get to go swimming. Mommy I will see my cousins. Mommy are going to Sarah's yet. Mommy, mommy, mommy - sometimes I wonder who invented the dang word.

Anyway I have downsized my work load at IBEX and hired a new employee. So we now have 3 ladies that work "in the office" which relieves a lot of stress for me. Eric has also taken back the work I do for his office, Delorum. They are doing wonderful and things look to be getting better each day. We are still FREEZING here, but slowly adapting.

I hope this redeems me at least for another little spell. I am going to try and put together a fun video - so look for that. We have a daughter who LOVES to sing and LOVES to do gymnastics - they just moved her up to level one from the preschool class and so she is now in a class with seven and eight year olds and doing GREAT!!

more later -

Tagged?

Note: Malia as Tinkerbell - the glossy look was supposed to be glittery! The second picture is Malia with one (of 12) of our new puppies.

Okay so I have been tagged by my good friend Alicia! I have no idea what to write, but isn't just totally dishing your way through it better than nothing? I know a lot will be surprised to see anything at all. In fact, no one probably bothers to check here anymore. I am not sure exactly how this works, but here goes.

Here’s the rules:
A. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
B. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog, for these rules.

1) I love my family. I am so blessed with such a great husband, wonderful (albeit very attentive) daughter, great parents/brother/sister, great in-laws. I don't know how I got to be so lucky. I have a husband who is wonderful to help around the house and always puts up with my attention needs (wonder where Malia gets it from). Malia loves to sing, dance, read, play, just loves it all. Her latest claim to fame is jamming out in the car to "Had a Bad Day", "Breakaway" or my favorite "Pour some sugar on me!" (NOTE: thanks alot Dorrie)

2) I am NOT a good WRITER. I hate to write things. i have this wonderful friend Brenda who can express herself so well and I envy that ability. That being said, i think i am a great TALKER. Not that what I say is anything profound, just that I can talk (and I love to do it.)

3) I am a soap opera junkie - i just can't quit (maybe I just don't want to bad enough) I love General Hospital which brings me to another love - I LOVE DVR!!! if you don't have DVR for your television you are just wasting time. I can watch 5 hours of General Hospital in about 10 minutes (sometimes maybe more like 20) But of course I only need to see that 1 storyline, and then the other, and so on. No but really, gone are my VHS tapes and those never watched reruns. and the best part - i can't remember the last time I actually watched a commercial!! Gotta love it

4) I love food. I love chocolate, i love ice cream, i love hot dogs, i love lasagna, i love bread.......i just love food.

5) i hate pictures - let me clarify - i hate having my picture taken (probably because of #4!!)

6) i love days when i can stay inside and where my pjs all day long and take a nice bubble bath at the end of the day with my other passion - BOOKS, BOOKS< and MORE BOOKS! If you have a great book, please pass it on! I LOVE TO READ

Okay I think that fulfills my obligation for a while. I think I will tag my sister Kristina and my good friend Bri Price.
