COLD!

Well we have just been as busy as everyone else. We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving in California with Eric's family. It was fun to see everyone. Malia enjoyed all the cousins. She played hard sun up to sun down and absolutely loved being outside so much. It was great to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa and the Greats as well. Aidan has grown so much. He is almost 16 lbs and very healthy. We are just about ready for Christmas and are all very excited for the holidays. We had our snowfall this week and it stuck. Temperatures have been hanging out in the 20s. Eric loves it! I think I will pass. Already looking forward to the spring. We hope everyone is well this season and enjoys a wonderful holiday.

FAMILY

Holy Cow!

I amazed by so many mothers. It is such hard work for me to balance two children, I don't know how so many of you do more than that. Shout out to all mothers - You are AMAZING. Thank goodness my mother and father are so close or my house would never have been clean these first 6 weeks. I am so grateful to have a wonderful husband who is not afraid to change diapers, feed baby, make dinner, fold laundry, read stories and on and on. How did I get to be so lucky?

Well, it has been so long and there is so many things to say. Aidan is growing so fast. It is hard to believe he is almost 8 weeks. He is such a big smiler and is babbling a lot. He can recognize all our voices. Malia is so good with him. She loves to lay out the diaper, hold him, watch over him and fee him. We feel so blessed to have two wonderful kids.

Malia is excited to be a bride for Halloween and even more anxious to tell us everyday what she wants for her birthday. We are going to California for Thanksgiving and will be there to celebrate her birthday. She is always telling us how she is going to "share" her birthday with her cousin Olivia. We can't wait to see everyone there.

Well other than that we are just busy. Sorry I am not an avid blogger. You get what you get. These pictures are for my brother Todd in the Middle East. Love you guys.

Family

Well we have had Aidan since September 1st. It has been exciting, fun and exhausting. He really is a great baby - sleeps good, eats good and poops good. We took him to the dr. and he is gaining weight and is in excellent health. We are so grateful. It is still a little difficult for me to let him sleep or be in the car seat. I am constantly looking to make sure he is breathing. Malia adores him and is always asking to hold him or feed him. Lately she has even asked to change a diaper! She is adapting well. After a few days she felt a little left out, but we are trying to make sure she knows how important and loved she is. She is really doing great. She starting preschool just before we got Aidan and started gymnastics up again yesterday.

So that keeps her a little busy and us as well. It has been a hard adjustment for me to have two kids. VERY BUSY!! I am still trying to get a good balance to try and get everything done. I don't know how so many mothers do it, do it with more children, and do it so wonderful. Kudos to Mothers Everywhere.

Getting Ready

Malia and I went down with Grandma to Ogden to see Treysen and Tylee. We were able to take a bunch of Malia's clothes down for Tylee and traded for clothes for Baby X. It was so much fun to look through clothes, both giving and getting. i can't believe how big Treysen and Malia are. Time has sure flown. They had a lot of fun playing together. Grandma bought Treysen some outdoor toys and they had a ball. Tylee is just so cute and fun. malia had to feed Tylee every chance she got. She can't wait to feed her baby brother (but she says she WON"T change diapers - i don't blame her). It was nice to just veg out with kristina and play. We didn't get to stay very long, but it was fun while it lasted. I am so nervous about having 2 kids when sometimes I don't feel like I have patience for one. Kristina was a great example to me this weekend. She is such a good mother to those kids and they love her. It was neat to see them all together as family. She took good care of us and we hope to do it again. Thanks again Kristina -

Well our birth mother is having a few tiny complications - gestational diabetes. She was tested at the doctor's office as positive then had to go take a test at the hospital. We are awaiting the results. Keep her in your prayers. The baby is fine growing so much. She said the doctor told her their is no more room for him to grow. Keep in mind she is just 4'11" and not even 100 lbs. So there is a good chance he will be born early.

We can't wait and are trying hard to keep "the secret" among family and close friends. Malia said the prayer in primary and blessed her baby brother. Fortunately she at that moment was barely whispering so no one heard. Anyway lots of babies coming this year - in our family and our neighborhood. Five boys are due in my neighborhood in august/september so he will have lots of friends. And many more cousins.

well - we will keep you up to date as things occur.

Baby Boy!!!

As of now - and we feel very confident - we should be having a baby boy in August. Our birth mother is due August 18 and we should get him shortly around the delivery. She may come a little early. She was adopted as an infant from Guatemala by a family in Idaho. the birth father is caucasian. the mom is really tiny - so our little boy will probably look a lot like his sister malia. We are very excited and will keep everyone up to date as things go. here in idaho we have to wait 6 months from placement before we can finalize the adoption and have the blessing/sealing, so stay tuned for more later.

BABY ALERT!!

Baby Alert on the horizon - stay tuned for more information coming soon.

what's new?

Okay - so no pictures today, but wanted to let everyone know what has been going on. It has been a pretty busy month for us with lots of fun stuff going on. I have had issues the last few months with anxiety and finally went to the doctor for some help - thank heavens for lexapro!!! Drugs can be good. My parents sold their house this winter and March was the month for moving. We went down to help clear out 40 years of marriage and about 18 years in the house. Talk about a lot of stuff. I am going to start now to downsize instead of waiting until I'm 60 (oops, sorry mom!) Our good friends across the street that have a daughter name Aleah that Malia loves to play with (i love saying their names together) was also moving and we had their kids over quite a bit. We have had lots of blessings and many prayers going on here. My good friend had a baby that had some serious eye problems and possibly including blindness. We are very relieved to hear all the good things and miracles they are witnessing. It is never a good thing to have your baby in the hospital. Our good friend and neighbor is still waiting for a liver transplant (going on 8 months). We have a cousin who was blessed to adopt a baby after 3 years on the waiting list, and an aunt and uncle who just got approved and are waiting for children to bless their home. We also have decided to submit our papers to adopt. So stay tuned!

We are preparing for a brief trip to Parowan, UT followed by a week (for just me and malia) to Phoenix, AZ. Hopefully we will be able to stop and see my sister's new house as well on our way. My "wonderful" sister-in-law Hiedi had to tell Malia about 3 weeks ago we were coming and so for the last 3 weeks about 20 times a day all we talk about is going to Arizona. Mommy it's warm. Mommy we get to go swimming. Mommy I will see my cousins. Mommy are going to Sarah's yet. Mommy, mommy, mommy - sometimes I wonder who invented the dang word.

Anyway I have downsized my work load at IBEX and hired a new employee. So we now have 3 ladies that work "in the office" which relieves a lot of stress for me. Eric has also taken back the work I do for his office, Delorum. They are doing wonderful and things look to be getting better each day. We are still FREEZING here, but slowly adapting.

I hope this redeems me at least for another little spell. I am going to try and put together a fun video - so look for that. We have a daughter who LOVES to sing and LOVES to do gymnastics - they just moved her up to level one from the preschool class and so she is now in a class with seven and eight year olds and doing GREAT!!

more later -
